Egg Free

Plain Cake

125g butter
125g sugar
1 tab golden syrup
1 tsp vanillia
200ml milk
230g self raising flour

Preheat oven to 190C
Cream butter, sugar, golden syrup and vanilla together. 
Alternatively add milk and flour (ending on flour) Beat until a smooth batter is formed
Pour into 2xgreased 18cm sandwich tins and bake for 20-30min.
Cool and decorate.
****any other flavouring can be used chocolate, orangge, lemon etc
****this mixture is nice made into patty cakes


1 1/2 cup self raising flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tab golden syrup
2/3cup milk
1/4cup oil
Flavouring- what ever takes your fancy

Preheat oven to 180C
In a large bowl mis together flour and sugar and add any dry flavouring.
In a jug mix together golden syrup, oil and milk.  Whisk to combine.
Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir with a fork to combine.
Using a table spoon drop some mixture in to lined muffin tins, makes about 12
Bake for 15-25min
